Care Micro undertook a network upgrade for Lionweld Kennedy Flooring Limited, who manufacture, fabricate and install open grid flooring, stairs, handrails and secondary metalwork.

Lionweld Kennedy used an old NT4 network, which required a complete hardware replacement and software upgrade.

Care Micro won the contract to upgrade their network by proposing the following:

• Supply and installation of three new rack mounted file servers. One with a fairly high specification to support MS Small Business Server 2003, the other two to support MS Windows Terminal Services 2003 (for load balancing and resiliance).
• Supply and installation of rack mount back-up device and uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
• Supply and installation of 35 workstations, mainly dumb terminals.
• Supply and installation of:
  • MS Small Business Server 2003
  • MS Windows Terminal Services
  • MS Office 2003, 35 User
  • Back-up software
  • Anti-Virus Software
• Ongoing hardware maintenance and software support including remote dial-in for downloading Microsoft upgrades and patches.
