Connection Seating: Migration to Exchange 2007 and Server 2003

Connection Seating logoThe first part of the project was to migrate the Windows 2000 Server Domain Controller to Microsoft Windows Server 2003, The second part of project was to take the 32Bit Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server over to a 64Bit hardware platform. Once completed, install, configure and migrate fully to Exchange 2007.

After much pre-planning we upgraded the existing Windows 2000 Server Active Directory to accept Server 2003 entries. We then migrated the customer's original Windows 2000 Advanced Server (which was the primary Domain Controller) across to Microsoft Windows 2003 Server. On completion, we migrated Exchange 2000 to a new server platform running 64Bit Windows Server 20003 and Exchange 2007 and integrated this into the freshly upgraded domain and Active Directory.

The project was completed by our engineers with minimum of down time. Ongoing Care Micro provides tech support, consultancy and holiday engineering cover to Connection Seating.
