LHL Network Consolidation

When Lightly & Lightly and Hawley & Partners chose to merge their IT systems, they turned to Care Micro for consultancy and implementation.

Through 2006/2007 Care Micro Systems successfully networked the five sites which now comprise the LHL Group. We incorporated existing and new hardware to create a single Windows Server 2003 domain together with two Exchange 2003 mail servers.

The solution provides network services for 40+ users and an increasing number of remote users. All sites are linked via VPNs using ADSL services and Cisco routing equipment. Security is provided by a combination of Watchguard firewall and Finjan security appliance. Specific data replication software, Availl, is deployed on all file servers to efficiently distribute Office, AutoCAD and other user data around the network.

We implemented a "Push" email support for windows mobile devices allowing users a greater level of integrated connectivity. Within this system we configured the Active Directory and security measures to allow LHL complete confidence that all business critical data is securely stored and backed up.

Care Micro provides a number of levels of hardware maintenance service together with our Network Operating System, Utility, Desktop and Preventive software support services. These services include support for everyday software issues and a managed security update service in respect of patch and service pack deployment, antivirus updates and firewalls.
