Peter Ward Homes have been a customer with Care Micro for more than six years. We supplied and supported their original Microsoft Windows 2000 Small Business Server network in the past. As their business grew it became clear that their IT needs were greater than the original infrastructure could offer.

We undertook a consultation process to identify the key needs of the business from a perspective of their IT investment. From this we established they required an updated Microsoft Small Business Server fileserver-based network solution with the additional back office functionality that this offers and incorporating security and data protection.

We added a new Intel-based Microsoft Small Business Server R2 Premium addition to the site.  We then migrated mail, users, 3rd party applications and PCs over to the new domain.

As part of this installation we also configured the site's security and backup solutions in order to meet the demands of the business. Secure storage for the customer’s existing business critical data was configured along with a complete active directory to manage access to both data and peripherals. From this we configured Microsoft Server Update and provide full support and maintenance for both hardware and software across the network.
