Mike Shingler
Managing Director

Mike began his career as a qualified Mechanical Engineer. He moved into what was then called the microcomputer industry in the early 1980s, setting up a computer dealership. This was even before the revolutionary IBM Personal Computer (PC) was launched. His career led him to establish ICI Computer Systems, which subsequently became one of the largest and most successful dealerships in the UK at that time. When ICI sold the dealership in 1992, Mike formed Care Micro Systems Ltd. Since those exciting first days, Care Micro has grown into one of the foremost computer service companies in the SME marketplace. Mike's ambition for Care Micro has never changed: his continuing aim is to provide all of our customers with the best quality IT service and solutions in the ever-changing world of business computing.

Don Cummings
Service Manager

Don joined Care Micro Systems in 2000 after a previous working life in IT which included ICI Computer Systems. As our Service Manager, Don is responsible for the allocation of engineering resources and co-ordinating the response of our Field Service and Workshop Team to your onsite needs.

Craig Scott
Workshop Supervisor

Craig joined Care Micro Systems directly from school. He gained his City and Guilds status in electronics and he is now a highly-skilled workshop engineer. As Workshop Supervisor he oversees all your IT repairs here at Care Micro. Craig also carries out our in-house Intel Server builds, and he is responsible for developing the software images for all your new PC and laptop rollouts.  Craig is assisted in the workshop by Chris to ensure our repair turnaround is second to none.

Alison Dixon
Software Support Analyst

Alison's priority is  to provide our customers with a more proactive support option. She works closely with our support technician team, Alison’s diligent and logical approach makes her the ideal candidate to offer all our customers a more efficient and instant, personal response to their support issues. Working closely with Simon, Richard and David in the Software Support Team, Alison fronts the technical core of Care Micro's armoury.

Technical Director

Simon is a long standing Lifeboat man at Flamborough when he is not heading up the support team within Care Micro. A keen photographer and dog lover he can often be found around the county taking in the scenery for which our location is so famed. Simon is an MCITP and has 20 years experience in the IT support industry.

Technical Support

Darren is our resident evil genius. He can decode the matrix, break it and then fix it again. As our environmental conscious he doesn't drive, preferring to cycle or run everywhere - even to customer's premises. Darren is a WSUS, AV and SharePoint guru who also has a number of artistic talents including a gift for modern interpretational freehand drawing mixed in with a side order of guitar solo.
