Meet your Care Micro team:
|
Mike Shingler |
Mike began his career as a qualified Mechanical Engineer. He moved into what was then called the microcomputer industry in the early 1980s, setting up a computer dealership. This was even before the revolutionary IBM Personal Computer (PC) was launched. His career led him to establish ICI Computer Systems, which subsequently became one of the largest and most successful dealerships in the UK at that time. When ICI sold the dealership in 1992, Mike formed Care Micro Systems Ltd. Since those exciting first days, Care Micro has grown into one of the foremost computer service companies in the SME marketplace. Mike's ambition for Care Micro has never changed: his continuing aim is to provide all of our customers with the best quality IT service and solutions in the ever-changing world of business computing. |

Steve Cornick |
Steve started his working life as an apprentice with British Rail in York. He moved into electronics for a Hull-based company, then working with Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC). Steve entered the microcomputer world by joining ICI Computer Systems. The ICI team of over 100 employees both serviced and supplied ICI, plus a number of other large corporate clients. When the company was sold in 1992, Steve joined with Mike and a number of others from ICI Computer Systems to help form Care Micro. |

Chris Grice |
Chris's early career was as a qualified TV and video electronics engineer, operating both in the home and the work place. This gave him a wealth of electronics knowledge and experience. He later went on to develop his career further by joining the Scarborough-based ICI Computer Systems. In 1992, together with Mike and Steve, Chris made the decision to start afresh and create a new company, Care Micro. Chris knows the service sector extremely well. He is acutely aware of customer expectations in today's demanding marketplace and he ensures that Care Micro meets that challenge for all our customers. |

Paul Ffelan |
Paul, unlike the other members of the team, grew up in Lancashire where he spent far too much time dreaming of racing cars. He joined our team with a strong background in both the sales and support sectors of IT. He was a qualified UNIX server engineer before moving into the distribution side of the IT business. As the most recent member of our team, Paul works alongside Mike and Steve to ensure that Care Micro continues to offer first class, leading-edge products and support services for all our customers. |
